Father Antipas and their crew have finished the last wall and are preparing to move on to the construction of the roof, but they need help!
Getting to full self-sustainability, the mandate of Orthodox Africa's efforts, takes just that- help. Building up a mission and a parish is like raising a child. Our mission can only mature and become a self-reliant fortress and refuge for those seeking Christ and finding Him with your help in nurturing our development.
They will begin construction of the rectory roof this week. The next phase of construction will be installing plumbing, electrical wiring, windows, and trimming out the interior.
This work is time sensitive. They need to try to get it done as soon as possible- the Short Rains, as they are called in Kenya, begin in October.
We're asking all who follow the work of Orthodox Africa and Saint Mary of Egypt OMK to pray, share, and support the Orthodox movement sweeping across Africa. If you are a contractor, or work in construction, and are a part of this faith, you know the demands and details of a construction project, so we're asking for an "all aboard" effort to get this done! For those who are following our progress, please consider donating to support us in our efforts for Christ, and in fulfilling the mandate of Orthodox Africa: shifting missions from dependency on hand-outs to independence in the work for Christ!
Saint Mary of Egypt Orthodox Mission of Kenya is blessed to a part of this important mission work and ideology- Please consider becoming a regular supporter of Saint Mary of Egypt Orthodox Mission and Refuge of Kenya.
