Dear Generous Donor,
I am writing to you today on behalf of Orthodox Africa and the Wonderworker Saint John Mission Center, an organization dedicated to bringing the light of the Orthodox Church to Uganda. We have been confronted with an urgent dilemma that requires your support. After serving liturgy in a rural village of Western Uganda on the Sunday of Orthodoxy, we had a bad accident that destroyed our car.
We desperately need a vehicle to serve the countless Orthodox faithful and those seeking the Truth in rural communities surrounding our missions. In addition, we urgently need a car capable of transporting our dedicated Catechetical team and essential liturgical supplies.
There have been countless requests around these rural communities petitioning us to reach them and spread the Orthodox Faith to them. Unfortunately, these communities have been far out of our reach and require a tremendous and challenging distance to travel. The lack of infrastructure and transportation makes it incredibly difficult to access these communities, hindering our ability to spread the message of hope, faith, and love that the Orthodox Church embodies. While we are committed to serving these villages, the high taxes and absence of local vehicle manufacturing make the cost of acquiring a suitable vehicle astronomical.
Your generous contribution can make a significant impact on our mission. With a vehicle at our disposal, we will be able to reach these remote communities and provide them with the spiritual guidance they need for the ascetical life. Furthermore, this vehicle will enable us to transport our dedicated team of Catechists and carry essential liturgical supplies, ensuring that we can provide the sacraments and worship experiences central to the Orthodox faith.
